DarkQuiet is a new architectural sound and light installation by artists Madeleine Flynn, Jenny Hector and Tim Humphrey, created with the International Dark Sky Alliance, Science Gallery Melbourne, and producer Erin Milne.

Human-generated sound and light impacts heavily on all living creatures. Working in sound/light, our awareness of these ecological impacts creates inherent tension. DarkQuiet embraces this tension and seeks to refocus ways of experiencing the rich complexity and fragility of the world.

DarkQuiet
includes an overnight experience for people to attune themselves to the nocturnal, navigating through a field calibrated to heighten our excitement for the subtle.

Premiere: Bundanon Art Museum, November - December 2022. Commissioned by Bundanon and Finding Our Voice.
